The purpose of this analysis:

In the real world, it’s very rare to work on a very clean dataset. Usually, you’d get dataset with a lot of missing data, and you need to learn how to work around these missing data and still get your analysis done.

Your assignment:

In this group project, you need to use the raw data from different public datasets, and to analyze the HIV incident rate in your assigned region from 2007 to 2016. Please submit your multiple raw datasets (in Excel), one final joined dataset (in Excel), and a final report with analysis graphs about your findings (in Word). Your final report should no more than 6 pages, double space and, you and your team are expected to present your findings (in PPT).

In this data analysis, you can use any of the following open public databases to find out (Please feel free to search other pubic databases, such as UNICEF, UN Data, and UNAIDS): ***

• Please prepare one table and server trend graphs of each country’s “Estimated number of people living with HIV”,” Estimated number of deaths due to HIV” ,” Estimated number of women (15+) living with HIV” ,” % of pregnant women with known HIV status”, “Final mother-to-child transmission rate including breastfeeding period” from 2007 to 2016?
• From the first requirement, what are your findings?
• Please prepare one table with Country population, GDP per capital, unemployment rate.
• Please join table 1 and table 3, and calculate” number of people living with HIV” / Country Population. And considering countries’ GDP and unemployment rate, what are your findings now?
• Any HIV policy recommendation for the future HIV interventions?
• If in your region, countries do not have the above suggested indictors, please propose other HIV-related indicators that most countries in your region had data.

*** Note: You may not be able to find all above mentioned indictors due to the limit data sources in some countries, but please try your best to find as many as possible.
