The FARC (Spanish: Armed Revolutionary Forces of Colombia) is a former guerilla terrorist group that from 1964 until a peace agreement in 2016 sought to overthrow the Colombian government. During this time, tens of thousands of people were killed. The FARC were called narco-terrorists because to raise money, in addition to kidnapping, they were involved in the cocaine drug trade.

ELN: (Spanish: National Liberation Army) was another guerrilla-terrorist group that sought to overthrow the Colombia government. Unlike the FARC, the ELN did not participate in the peace agreement with the Colombia government. Like the FARC, to raise money, the ELN was involved in not just kidnapping but also cocaine.
