This isn’t actually an essay, this is a series of short-answer questions (each should be a paragraph of at least 5 sentences long) based on an article on a study of elder abuse. As such, no sources will be needed, however, I will provide you info on the textbook that we’re using as well as the diagrams that are needed to answer one of the questions. These are the questions that need to be answered:
1. List as many vulnerable population(s) in the article that you can identify based on our class text?

10. Using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy lens answer the following using “Florence” as described in the study in scenario 1. (1 point per question)

What are Florences’s irrational beliefs?
What are Florences’s core beliefs about herself?
How would you change what Florence thinks & does to improve how she feels & functions in her life?
Give an example of a possible Mantra that a social worker would suggest to Florence.
11. Using an Ecological Perspective lens answer the following using “Vera” as described in the study in scenario two. Define “goodness of fit.”
12. Using “John” as described in the study in scenario three. Define oppression.
13. List 5 open ended questions that you could ask Florence during Engagement/Intake
14. List 5 closed ended questions that you could ask Vera during Engagement/Intake.
15. List 5 Pitfalls you would need to be sure to avoid during Engagement/Intake with John.
16. How would you use Problem Identification as a tool to begin your work with Florence?
17. How could Information & Referral as an intervention help Vera?
18. What is your Crisis Intervention assessment of John?
19. Using Motivational Interviewing as an intervention, demonstrate to me your understanding of OARS using Vera, John or Florence, (choose one participant).
