Do you feel Johnson should have been impeached for the action of firing the Secretary of War, or do you feel Congress exceeded its authority in passing the Tenure of Office Act? For instance, do you agree with Vice President John Adams’s use of the casting vote to defend the right of President Washington and subsequent presidents to have the sole authority to remove cabinet officials?
