The exam consists of a 4-page summary of the research covered by the main speaker in the podcast (the researcher at the Kinsey Institute being interviewed) and the reading.

The summary must follow the following format:

You are to develop categories that cover the research covered by the speaker and reading. This means that you are not to simply list the research findings covered, but you should group the research studies into logical categories by subject.
You are not to quote the speaker, but to develop no more than a 3-sentence summary of each research finding that reports on the essential point in the finding
You are to have a brief one-paragraph introduction to the primary focus of the podcast. Get to the heart of the podcast with neither verbosity, nor resorting to vagueness or superficiality. The introduction should not begin with the following or similar statement, “In this paper, I will cover….”. Never announce what you are going to cover, just jump right into the topic.
You are to have a brief one-paragraph conclusion that is not a repetition of what was covered in your summary, but rather the most significant or enlightening point(s) made.
You should write in a narrative style using complete sentences and well-develop paragraphs.
