Helping Each Other Integrate Ideas

By now you have read selections in the Brussat book, read some additional sources and/or watched some videos that nudge you to think about various aspects of spirituality. As you integrate the readings and topics of the course, you are probably developing ideas about how all of the research you’ve been exposed to contributes to an overarching picture of the different models for wisdom and spirituality in aging. This discussion provides a chance for you to process and develop these ideas further, and to help each other deepen your knowledge and insights.

How do you see the ideas of the class fitting together so far? Bring the additional video or reading that you’ve done for this module into the discussion and explain how it helped you understand various aspects of the class (reflecting on a meaningful life, wisdom, neurological views of aging, neurological views of spirituality, lifespan views of aging and spirituality, connections between these topics and spiritual practice, etc). These are big topics and there may be many aspects we haven’t covered in the class reading or assignments. Please feel free to bring in original interpretations or connections that haven’t been mentioned in our modules.
