Your final paper should include:

  2. Analysis of the organization: Who are they? What is their overall mission?
    1. Based on information you can find online about the organization (from internal sources, such as their website OR external sources, such as news sites) what would you consider to be their strengths and weaknesses?
  3. Analysis of competitors: Think about who your team will be competing against locally for donations, as well as the larger competitor landscape for your nonprofit. What are other nonprofits doing to raise donations and how might you be different?
  4. Analysis of the overall market: What information can you find out about non-profit trends that could help your team? Some things to consider would be the types of people donating the most or the marketing direction that nonprofits are moving towards.

III. Content Section should include: 1) Definition and description of target market for campaign and 2) Development of marketing strategy [40 points]

  1. Based on the information provided by your research, describe the target market chosen for your campaign. Provide as much detail about your selected target market as possible.
  2. Marketing strategy: How did you reach your target market? Detail your implementation plan. Be sure to include responsibilities for the team members involved (for example: who was in charge of passing out flyers or posting on social media, how often, etc).
  3. What was the core message of your campaign? Why did you believe this message would resonate with your target market?
  4. Creative Section should include: 1) Creation and design of marketing materials and
    2) Consistent and accurate implementation of design materials [30 points]
  5. Include any visual elements you designed or social media posts. For each, be sure to put a description (and links if applicable) that details how the elements were distributed.
  6. Describe the thought process behind why you used the elements you did (such as a flyer or social media images) and how you believe this was the best way to reach your target market.
  7. How was the core message developed included within your creative elements?

 

 

  1. Analytics Sectionshould include: 1) Managing and tracking progress of the campaign, 2) Offering feedback throughout process, and 3) Recommending a change to current strategies, if needed. [30 points]

  3. When did most of your donations come in? Can you track whether this was due to a certain marketing effort or fundraising push?
  4. What did your group learn about marketing and fundraising efforts for your nonprofit? Generalize your findings into key takeaways for the organization’s fundraising efforts in the future. In other words, what knowledge can you share with the non-profit’s founder about how to create successful fundraising campaigns?
