**—- Write a submission of a personal, reflective statement summarizing your insights, feelings, attitudes, and perspectives on what you have observed. Maintain confidentiality where names or personal concerns may be involved.

The statement should contain a minimum of 500 words. Remember to format your essay according to course specifications APA 7th edition. In this reflection, comment on the following points:

– Description of the school environment, the classroom, facilities, and physical arrangements (Forest Elementary School, Grades Kindergarten thru 4th grade.
– The grade, age-range, gender, and total number of students (Kindergarten, ages 5-6, 9 females and 11 males. 20 total students.
– Comments concerning the classroom structure, routine, and daily schedule (very good classroom structure, routine is the same everyday and students seem to catch on and have alot of independence with transitioning) mask are required all day except while eating due to covid-19 pandemic. all students wear them and never have to be told more than once to keep them on. hand washing is also strongly monitored thru out the day along with sanitizing and cleaning tables and chairs.
– Descriptions of the curriculum and teaching strategies used
– The uses of technology in instructional settings (had 4 iPads and 4 desk top in the classroom. kids did Iready math and Iready reading on them during center time.
– Students’ varied approaches to learning
– Types of disabilities represented in the classroom (Only 1 Hispanic female is in a wheel chair only when her prosthetic leg hurts her. she keeps it on for about 5 hours out of 8 hours. she was born and had to have her right leg from her knee down amputated and her right hand is missing 2 fingers. she doesn’t let it keep her from doing what everyone else does though. she gets assistance going to the bathroom and when cutting and pasting during class. assistant also helps push her wheel chair to the bus in the afternoons and when she needs assistance going to the bathroom or to lunch.
– Your participation in activities and teaching. (helped do 4 centers everyday for about 15 mins. each. in the morning and afternoons. also helped send home class work and homework folders daily.
– Any other information that you feel is relevant. (teacher I observed was very good at what she does and I learned alot when it comes to having my own classroom one day in the future. all of the students stole my heart and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity of being able to help assist with their learning during this crazy pandemic school year.
