Diversity Situations and Cultural Dilemmas

Instructions:

1. Identify THREE different types of Diversity Situations or Cultural Dilemmas based on different types of cultural and group associations that are current and possibly in the news.

– Topics can be Racial Diversity, Religious Beliefs, Gender Equality, Language & Communication, etc.

a) The diversity situations or cultural dilemmas should demonstrate a cultural clash between at least two socio-cultural groups and have the potential for debate.

b) Select topics that can be researched to find out about them more in-depth.

2. Write a 1000 word paper that briefly discusses the following for each THREE selected topics:

a) Describe the diversity situation or cultural dilemma and your interest in this topic.

b) Describe the cultural groups impacted by this topic.

c) What are some of the societal and historical forces which might have created this situation or dilemma?

d) Provide ONE argument from each perspective regarding the topic.

3. Please ensure to have an Introduction and Conclusion to the paper.

4. Use ProQuest and EBSCOhost to find THREE (3) appropriate scholarly articles to support all topics besides the readings, media, website resources, and personal experiences.

At least one article should come from ProQuest, and one article should come from EBSCOhost.

Important: Each paragraph should include an in-text citation to all information summarized, paraphrased, or quoted from outside sources. Please cite the articles you found using ProQuest and EBSCOhost.
