How does the Middle East help inform the theme of tourist

The goal of this paper is to show how the first 3 texts display the theme of nature vs civilization and/or the individual and also when possible, how there are Middle eastern ties in the work. The last 2 texts are to used show how the middle east and/or individuals from the middle east have helped (Emerson) inform that theme in his writings. You do not have to exactly read and talk about the the entire texts, skimming through, finding pieces, and putting them together to accomplish the goal of this paper is fine. Please do not just simply summarize in the paper.
