Cisco Packet Tracer Assignment: Final Report and Submission

Design and Report Instructions:

Students will build a network using Cisco Packet Tracer. The goal of this assignment is to present all the knowledge gained from the class lectures about IPv4 and IPv6 network schemas, infrastructures, concepts, devices, and deployments. The Network design must present a typology, an infrastructure of end-devices (desktops, printers, laptops and/or etc…), networking devices (routers, switches), Internet of things (IoTs), and possibly network security devices.

The following requirements are needed…

• Groups of five students
• Develop an accountability policy
• Assign Positions and Roles
• Document the design process
• Write a 1 to 2-page project description and results-based summary
• Complete and present a Network in Cisco Packet Tracer
• Explain what was learned by describing the project designed.

Steps to Building your Network and Research Paper

1. Network Purpose and scope (Describe the network)

1. Chose a Network Typology (Study network typology)

   3. Describe and perform a brief analysis of your chosen network devices
   4.  Present a network map

1. Test and verify Full network connectivity (Cisco Packet Tracer)

   2. You should exhibit a series of pings, tracerts, and arp -a commands
