MTH 120: Final Project
Due December 11th
This project consists of two parts and should be typed. The project is worth 50 points.
Part 1
We have learnt about several families of functions in this class. Pick any two types of functions we havediscussed in this class. Compare and contrast the properties of these two functions in a two page (doublespaced) paper.
Some suggestions: You can talk about the domain and range of the functions, general format and properties, the shape of the graph and/or the end behavior. You could also talk about how they are related. Forexample, an even function has the property thatf(−x) =f(x) and there are some trig functions that areeven (like cosine). This part is worth 25 pts.
Part 2
Find a real world problem that uses one of your previously picked functions and write a one page (doublespaced) paper about it. This part should include citations (any consistent format).
This part is worth 25 pts.
If you need ideas or general help on the project, please do not hesistate to ask.1
