Historical and contemporary attitudes towards sexual minorities in post-Soviet countries

What historians already said?
How does your research fill existing “gaps” or otherwise lead to an original contribution to the scholarship?
Desired Length: 2-3 paragraphs (450-700 words)
Annotated bibliography of the selected sources (only the primary sources). Annotations for two of your secondary sources and one of your primary sources.
Begin with the citation.
First paragraph: Start by summarizing the author’s argument.
Then talk about how the author reached their conclusion. What kind of sources are they looking at?
Get into some of the specific evidence.
Second paragraph: About the validity of the author’s argument. Whether you were persuaded or not and why.
Connect the sources to your own research (talk about how you can use them to address your question, or about how it relates to things you’ve noticed in your other sources).
In addition to annotated bibliography:
Make your primary source annotation talk to your secondary source annotations. Instead of just saying that they help you address your research question in a way that furthers existing debates tell us specifically how they help you do this.
Make your secondary source annotations critical and analytical. Talk in precise terms about how the scholarship you’ve selected address your research question (and not just author’s research question). When you get to the author’s research question, critique their arguments, their methodologies, their use of evidence, etc.
