English Comp

This is a reminder that the final exam, for English Comp I, will be held TOMORROW NIGHT, December 9th from 6-8pm ONLINE.

Reminder of information and instructions:

PLEASE READ EACH AND EVERY DETAIL BELOW. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE SURE YOU HAVE ALL MEANS NECESSARY TO DO THE FINAL EXAM.

The final exam will be held ONLINE ONLY on Wednesday, December 9th from 6pm to 8pm. This is the only time slot you will have to take it and there are no exceptions to missing it. You MUST TAKE AND PASS THE FINAL EXAM TO PASS THIS CLASS. The Final Exam will open at 6pm and close at 8pm so be sure to be ready to log in at the designated start time. I recommend that everyone have a backup plan in case your home internet or computer are not working, etc.

Structure/Content of the final exam:

You will have 2 hours to take the final exam (6-8pm on Wednesday, December 9th ONLY). There will be 3 prompts, in Word Documents, to choose from. You will choose one of the prompts, and follow the instructions to write your essay. The assignment box will lock after 2 hours, so be sure to allow yourself enough time to save and upload your document at the end. You must pick either MLA or APA formatting to do your final exam, integrate the source you use for the prompt given, do in-text citations and a works cited or reference page. Please carefully review the criteria for the final exam once it opens. Your grade depends on all of the items listed in that section. If you fail the final exam, you do not pass this class. Failure to follow formatting, citations and other criteria of the exam will result in a failing grade. You will not know what the prompts/subject matter of the final exam are until the final exam opens. I expect at least 2 1/2 pages of content, NOT including the works cited or reference page or if it is APA, it does not include the cover page or abstract. This would be at least 2 1/2 pages of actual essay body content.

Please prepare yourself for the final exam by reviewing MLA and APA format and putting your best effort forward. THERE ARE NO MAKEUPS. NO EXCEPTIONS!! You must take the exam on December 9th from 6-8pm.
