In class we had you guys read one scenario as Chris Winslow and discuss it and then we had you read a different scenario and discuss it. We then applied attribution theory and analyzed each scenario in terms of whether you might think the cause of the problem is internal or external. Now read Alex’s perspective, what had you not taken into account? How does this exercise change how you might go about dealing with performance issues as a manager?

Element 1: Answer the following in a well written comprehensive answer (no less than 350 words).

Discuss Scenario A and B using attribution theory — we did this in class, so provide the specifics applying the model to each scenario as we did in class. Then read Alex’s perspective and note what information you learned that might affect how you deal with the issue.
How does this exercise change how you might go about dealing with performance issues as a manager?
