You may examine the work of two poets from different African Nations, and examine both how they address similar cultural themes, but also how those themes are different. This assignment requires that you choose two poems from each poet (4 poems total), and then compare/contrast both the thematic focus as well as how each poet address those themes. You might consider the differences of history and culture, different colonial experiences, or other cultural differences. You will be required to conduct individual research and include at least 4 quality secondary sources, in addition to the poems. Instructions: 1. Write the Response in a Word Document, The paper requirements include: a. 1200 to 1500 words b. Between 4 and 6 quality secondary sources. (This does NOT include the poems you analyze) c. Double Spaced, 1 inch margins, and Times New Roman 12 point font d.
