Some aspect of the Black Death

Read John Aberth’s The Black Death: The Great Mortality of 1348-1350: A Brief History with Documents.
Using at least three original sources, write a 4-6 page (1200-1500 word) paper on some aspect of the Black Death. Original sources are those written at the time of the Black Death or slightly thereafter and do not include Aberth’s introductions to them.
It is your choice as to what aspect of the Black Death you wish to write on. Make sure your thesis is clear and conclusive.
5. Use Aberth’s introductions and other outside sources for context only. This paper is to be based on your interpretation of the original sources.
6. No bibliography is needed unless you have used works outside of Aberth. If a bibliography is needed, it must follow the History Department Style Manual (found on the History Department Website).
5. All references to the books (quotes, paraphrases, and examples) should be cited in parenthetical notes, footnotes or endnotes and should follow History Department Style. For those of you using e-books, the U of Chicago Style Manual has not decided on how to cite these. I suggest this (taken from Verena Theile and Linda Tredennick, ed., New Formalism and Literary Theory [Palgrave Macmillan, 2013]).
An e-book is considered a version, so it should be listed after the title of the book, before the publication information. If you know the type of e-book you used (such as Kindle or Ebook library), be sure to specify that. Avoid using device-specific numbering systems, since they will vary among different devices. If the book has chapters, sections, or other stable numbering systems, it is permissible to identify parts of the text that way.
