Internet Research Assingment

Select a specific mental disorder of your choosing, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, etc. You can check your textbook for other examples. Students will use the internet to find at least four different Internet scholarly resources to answer the following questions related to the Mental Disorder you selected that can be found either in your textbook or the DSM V: Please note this is not a ‘physical’ disorder such as heart disease or diabetes.

(1) What are the possible early signs/symptoms of the mental disorder?

(2) What are the proposed origins/causes of the mental disorder?

(3) What are the most effective treatments for the mental disorder?

(4) What is the prognosis/outcome for a person who is being treated for the mental disorder (is it curable or treatable? Do the symptoms get worse, then better, then worse again…….)

Please include your sources in your paper. You must have a different Internet web source for each of the questions.

Type out the question, then a large paragraph answering the question, and then your source that goes with that question.

List each question followed by at least one “long” paragraph with information answering the question. Three or four sentences in answering the questoins will not warrant you a grade. Below each paragraph copy and paste the source site from which you retrieved the information. You must have a ‘different’ Internet resource site for all four questions. Paper should be longer than one page.
