The students need to:
Explain the localization and standardization debate and why it is important (to define and justify your topic);
What are the key drivers (or factors ) that influencing standardization and localization of HRM? (How does each driver/factor influence standardization/localization decision)?
What are the major debates about the topic in the literature? (inconsistent view, arguments toward standardization/localization decision)
How has this issue been dealt with in practice? (find examples of real companies, for example how Coca cola standardize and/or localize their HR practices in another country?)
Checklist:
Have you justified the reasons why the topic is important?
Have you presented a good analysis of the current IHRM literature on the topic?
Have you discussed how this issue has been dealt by MNEs?
Have you correctly acknowledged all sources (both in-text and reference list) in the slides? You need to use 10 academic references.
The presentation should be around 15-20 minutes.
