Final Exam Instructions From the list below, you will choose a story or poem to base a 2 to 3 page essay (plus a Works Cited page). Your essay will have a thesis and evidence. The evidence will be from your chosen story or poem and from any research you do for the essay. Lack of properly formatted Works Cited citations will result in a significant reduction in your grade. You may use a tool like Zbib (ZoteroBib) to write your citations. Plagiarism is highly discouraged. You may not repeat something you have written about before without my permission to expand upon your previous submission.  The point of your submission is not to simply re-tell the poem or story. You must add value to the understanding, context, or interpretation. Choosing your story/poem based solely on its length (shortness) may not be the best strategy for maximizing your grade. You must say something in your essay.
