Here are the assignment guidelines and requirements:

¨ Write at least three paragraphs in which you define your expectations for this class by describing or explaining at least three of the following:
¨ your previous English classes
¨ your understanding of the ENC1101 description and/or our syllabus
¨ what you should learn in a college-level English composition class
¨ the role of your professor
¨ what writing well means to you
¨ why effective communication matters for your future

¨ You may be able to use what you wrote in your discussion forum posts leading up to this paper, but you should revise those sentences carefully to make sure they fit with your overall composition and do not contain any errors.

¨ You can use the Sentence Stems for guidance and inspiration, but you are not limited to those, and you will need to create additional sentences on your own.

¨ While you must use first-person perspective for this paper (I, me, my, mine, myself), your paper should not contain any second-person pronouns (you, your, yours, yourself, yourselves).

¨ Do not consult, include, quote, or cite any outside sources. Instead, write based on your own thoughts, experiences, and observations.

¨ Format your paper following the MLA-style document design rules (see template and video tutorial in Blackboard).
