Ms. Pregnant is a 39-year-old G4P1A2 African American woman LMP 08/09/2021who presents to your office for prenatal care. She denies any bleeding or cramping. Her only complaint is “sores” that come and go in her vaginal area. You obtain the following information:

PMH: Hypertension

Allergies: none

PSH: C-section, myomectomies, tonsillectomy in childhood, appendectomy at 12 years old

Gyn Hx: menarche at 12, with cycle every 28-35 days and periods of 5-7 days

OB Hx: Two first trimester miscarriages

Family Hx: father deceased at 68 (heart disease), mother – Type2 diabetes

Medications: Prenatal vitamin, Lisinopril, HCTZ

1. What other information specific to her medical/surgical history is necessary?
2. What are her specific risk factors and how would you address each one (specific to each trimester)
3. What routine labs would you get on this patient, and what additional studies would you order based on her risk factors?
