Module 4 Overview: The Skeletal System and Articulations

The skeletal system provides structure and support to protect the body’s internal organs. In construction, the term “stick build or framing” is used to describe a supporting (skeletal) structure called framing, over which sheathing and siding are applied.  If we think of the sheathing as being the muscles and the siding as the skin, you can see that, just like the frame of a house, the muscle and skin provide structure and support to the body.
