Reflection Paper

Part 1

Write a report of 300 words to explain what social justice mean to you. Your report should include the following:

• Your understanding of what social justice and diversity are.
• Examples of prejudice and discrimination locally.
• Social justice issues that affect you as a person
• Issues that capture your attention and how you think these issues will affect your role as a future social worker in helping the clients who experience such issues.
• Your thoughts or feelings as you reflect on (think about) the process of learning about social justice issues?

Part 2

Use the internet and other available resources to find an article or a report about Global Oppression of women. Write a 350-500 words report that covers the following topics.

• The subject of the article, and why you chose it.
• A brief summary of the article and what you learned from reading it
• What you think are the most important issues in the article and how these issues could possibly affect clients at different levels of the environment.
• How did you feel while reading the article?
• How does this topic connect to learning from your current or previous courses in Social Work?
• Provide/copy the link to the report website you have chosen.
