Workplace Safety

As discussed in the textbook, workplace safety is crucial for being an employee advocate and important for creating a healthy and safe work environment. In this assignment, you will examine a scenario and determine potential workplace safety as well as employee/employer rights and responsibilities.

Prior to beginning work on this assignment,

• Consider reviewing Chapters 7 and 8 of the textbook

In your paper,

• Analyze the main purpose of OSHA regarding employees.
• Explain why this scenario would be recordable under OSHA.
• Explain why this scenario would not be recordable under OSHA.
• Identify at least three employer’s rights and responsibilities under OSHA in regard to the scenario.

The Workplace Safety paper

• Must be two to four double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA Style (Links to an external site.) as outlined in the Writing Center’s APA Formatting for Microsoft Word (Links to an external site.)
• Must include a separate title page with the following:
  • Title of paper in bold font
    • Space should appear between the title and the rest of the information on the title page.
  • Student’s name
  • Name of institution
  • Course name and number
  • Instructor’s name
  • Due date

• Must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph. Your introduction paragraph needs to end with a clear thesis statement that indicates the purpose of your paper.

• Must use at least two credible sources in addition to the course text.
