Your class paper for this course must be seven (7) pages.  The first page (1) is your cover page.  Pages two through six will be the body (narrative) of your paper.  The seventh (7) page is your works cited or reference page.  Your paper must have two sources properly cited, both in the body of the paper and your reference page.  Your paper must be double spaced and justified.  Please use the rubric on Blackboard for additional requirements for your paper.   Your paper must be submitted through Safe Assign which is in your Blackboard to receive credit. 

Your paper is due on Sunday night of the third week of class by midnight.  I would highly suggest you make an appointment with Tina Steele in the Writing Studio.  You can email her at tsteele@keiseruniversity.edu and let her know what class you are in.  You should also make an appointment and go to the writing studio within the first two weeks of your class.   Finally, I would strongly recommend you also use the services of our campus library to help with your research.

Your paper must be on a topic concerning constitutional criminal law:

You could write you paper on a major case, such as Miranda v. Arizona, or research a specific criminal case (plenty of high-profile cases in the media) and write about it from the criminal law aspect of it. Some other examples can be search and seizure, or on any of our Bill of Rights and how they pertain to or effect law enforcement.
