Objective writing/ report

This assignment is about ordering and organizing objective information … and still having your good writer’s voice/style present in the document.  Choose an event, item, product, policy or initiative and report on it in a manner that will present to the reader full understanding .  No opinions, no judgments … just the facts. Choose something that will be of interest to all of us, and that will capture and engage the reader.

For this writing assignment, please present an objective, complete and well balanced report of an event (news event, charity event, etc.) or of an item (products, policies, rules, etc.). Keep in mind that it should be a focused and objective presentation of facts that can be easily addressed in the pages of this short paper.

As you plan and structure the document, please consider what reference materials might be readily available to you. This is not an extensive or formal research project, but you may need to cite certain outside sources within the text. As we go forward with this assignment, I will present more information about citing sources.

Please keep in mind that in this course we are focused on MLA citation formats.
