PICO question

The purpose of the
assignment is to design an evidence-based practice project that addresses
nursing care practice and a clinical practice problem. This PICO question will
focus your remaining work for EBP Project Parts 2&3, your final Paper #4,
and your Poster Presentation.

1. Identify a BSN nursing
care practice or intervention for your EBP Project + Paper #4+ EBP Poster.

2. write a description
(2-3 sentences) about the BSN nursing care practice or intervention

3. Create
a PICO question about your proposed BSN nursing care practice or intervention.
Develop a PICO question of effect of intervention (population, intervention,
comparison, and outcome).

4. Provide current
practice standards from your clinical facility for that BSN nursing care
practice or intervention [or what you are learning in school]. (1 paragraph)

5. Search for current
research evidence about potential interventions [the (I) in PICO] for improving
outcomes. HINT: Search for a recent Systematic Review on the
topic on your PICO.

6. Write at least a 3-4 paragraph description of the BSN nursing care practice, the significance of the problem
or issue, and what would you suggest as an intervention that would improve the
outcomes. Provide current research evidence. Discuss what is known about the BSN nursing care practice in the USA and non-USA countries. HINT: Search for a recent
Systematic Review on the topic on your PICO.
