Once you have read pp.90-91, answer the following question based on the chart in figure 4.6:

The groups in figure 4.6 are ranked from those with the highest average rate of out-marriage at the top to those with the lowest average rate of out-marriage at the bottom. How do groups at the top differ from those at the bottom in ways that might explain differences in the average rate of “out-marriage?”

Help: The chart measures mixed marriages among second-generation Canadians as a percentage. Your goal is to try to offer an explanation as to why the groups at the top are different than the bottom.
