Purpose of the paper
Students are to evaluate the value of a Supplier a Diversity Program. Organizations spend a lot of money with their suppliers. Organizations have an opportunity to include in their supplier spend companies that are owned by women, veterans, minorities, or disabled individuals Increasing supplier diversity provides organizations with a broad range of viewpoints, innovations and work methods. Additionally, working with minority suppliers’ companies may create products for a broader customer base.
This paper will have four levels 1 Heading (which are explained above in the graph):
Introduction (usually written last and is about two paragraphs long using citations). The introduction would contain a citation from the company of the product or service that you purchased.
Analysis (usually written first) and within contains three APA level 2 headings:
Analysis 1. Your first analysis must have a citation at least from the text
Analysis 2. Your second analysis must have a citation at least from the text
Analysis 3. Your third analysis must have a citation at least from text
Recommendation (usually about half a page long and cites the textbook at least once)
Conclusion (usually written after Analysis but before Introduction). Remember not to add any new information in the conclusion.
Reference will include the Harvard Business Review article above and the company website.
In the Analysis section, students will find a company with a current Supplier Diversity Program. And analyze that Supplier Diversity Program. Students will analyze:
Analysis 1: What are the criteria to be considered to become a new diversity supplier? And how would a diverse supplier apply?
Analysis 2: What problem or opportunity is the company trying to identify by having a supplier diversity program and how does this program connect to the company mission and vision?
Analysis 3: How does the company communicate to potential diverse suppliers?
In the Recommendation section, students will offer one additional improvement to the diversity program. Citing the Harvard Business Review and Dunn and Bradstreet’s articles linked above.
