1. Explain why there is a societal need for more professionals to work in a field with some emphasis or involvement with the older adult population. Relate your responses to emerging public health issues in older adults. This question will require additional research on public health issues that impact older adults. 

2. Select 3 industries that are not your typical  “older adult” professions. Explain why each would benefit from an education in gerontology. For example, why might someone who works in advertising or marketing benefit from knowledge about older adults? This question may require some research to think outside the box and support discussion.
