    PART II: Organizing, Writing, Reviewing, and Submitting the Persuasive Essay.

    To complete Part II of this project, you will follow these basic steps:

    1. Perform research. Library databases, library books, articles from scholarly print journals, and articles in Everyone Is an Author may be used as research sources. Do not use open internet sources. A minimum of seven sources is required.
    2. Organize the essay. Download the organizational plan and  into subtopics headed by subclaims and supported by evidence (ethos, pathos, and logos). Evidence must come from LSC sources. Submit the organizational plan to the link below by 11 PM, Saturday, November 6.
    3. Write a persuasive essayin which you introduce the narrowed issue and the controversy about a particular claim. Length: at least seven full pages, plus the works cited page(s). Include evidence from your research. In the essay, introduce your own position, and provide clear support for your opinion on the issue. As evidence, cite a minimum of seven sources. Incorporate evidence of all three types in your essay: logos, ethos, and pathos. (Review “The Three Appeals” pdf and lecture notes as needed.) Submit the first completed draft of this essay, including a works cited page, to the first draft link in D2L by 11 PM, Wednesday, November 17 . You may view the Turnitin reports and resubmit your essay multiple times. You must have the paper uploaded at least once by 11 PM, Wednesday, November 17 .
    4. Participate in peer review by uploading your essay to Discussion Topic WP3 Persuasion Peer Review by 11 PM, Wednesday, November 17  and by completing a peer review of a classmate’s essay by 11 PM, Saturday, November 20
    5. Due 11 PM, Saturday, November 20: Submit your completed Peer Review of your partner’s Persuasive Essay to the link for the Small Assignment 12: Peer Review.
    6. Submit your revised essay to the Writing Project Three: Persuasive Essay Drop Box by 11 PM, Tuesday, November 23Take time to review your work over Thanksgiving break. Polish and resubmit the final paper by 11 PM, Monday, November 29You may revise and re-upload as many times as needed prior to this final due date.
