I need an appeal statement written, the nature of this situation is fairly complex. I am Currently taking a BACHELOR OF SOCIAL WORK degree at Douglas College. I am in my 4th year, I got accepted September of 2020. I previously had tried to apply for this program in 2019 I believe however I did not get in. I completed a community mental health worker certificate at Douglas College in 2019, I then continued on to Langara College to complete a Diploma in Social Service worker. Once completed I decided to apply to the BSW program at Douglas College again. The process was long and definitely not straight forward. I was in touch with the BSW Program Advisor throughout the process of reapplying again. My main concern was if all my courses from Langara will be transferable I was continuously reassured that it should be fine. However in my third year, in December I found out that now I have to complete an additional 5 courses as they werent sufficient with what I took at Langara College. I was beyond frustrated to find this out. I agreed to take 4 out of the 5 courses. The one course that I was not willing to take at Douglas College was Social Work Practice 2363 : Mental Health. As I had already previously taken a certificate as a Community Mental Health Worker. I have printed out the outlines, they are described as best as possible. I need the dean to understand the frustrations I have faced by attending this program as I have had friends go do the UBC BSW and  NVIT they had no issues. I am having to take an enormous amount of courses – 5 to be exact every semester now because of this inconvenience. On top of that working and keeping my own mental health sane. Has been beyond stressful. My grades show that. I feel as though my success does not matter, I was now just told that if this appeal doesnt go through successfully my graduation will be delayed. Its astounding that this wasnt brought up when I first mentioned that I was going to appeal. Joining this program has been far from a smooth ride, it has been an emotional rollercoaster from the get go. My only goal is to graduate and complete this degree, it feels as though I continue to be pulled back for any reason possible. 

I will attached the courses taken in my Community Mental Health Worker Certificate it is called (HCSW). I will also include the outline for SOWK 2363- mental health.
