PROMPT: This week we focused on branded content, customer evangelism, and customer service. As customers of many products ourselves, we come to this subject with an entire set of experiences and expectations. Yet, sometimes we come across branded content or native advertising that makes us uncomfortable; we sense that the content or something about an ad crosses ethical and possibly legal constraints. Moreover, you may have also noticed a disconnect between claims of great customer service and the reality of automated customer service, long wait times, and customer agents with poor communication and customer service skills.

• This week discuss any branded content and/or ads you feel cross an ethical or legal line. Explain why.
• Also discuss the occasional disconnect between customer service claims made by certain brands, organizations, etc. and the reality of trying to access and receive customer service. Your impressions count, but a little research will strengthen your responses.
