Zoom Presentation during Finals Week (80 points)

For our class final, your task is to prepare a five-minute, visual presentation that is based on one of your essays you wrote (for any class) this semester. You may think of your visual presentation as a "remix" essay, but this could mean a couple of different things. Let me explain.

You may want to simply share your paper’s original argument through visuals and tell us about what your findings were from that paper. That is fine.

But you may want to draw different conclusions about the topic or connect it to another topic you are interested in but never wrote about. That is also fine.

Example: Let’s say, for instance, you wrote about the history of Technics turntables and the effect they have had on DJ culture. Maybe you originally argued that turntables were a musical instrument, but now you are more interested in sharing how DJs can get featured on a global platform like NTS radio. Well, you can have your presentation share how your interest has changed. "For my paper, I wrote about this, but now I’m interested in this aspect of the topic. Let me tell you about it." 

No matter how you approach the assignment, you want tell a story through pictures, images, video, or music. Avoid sharing too much text. In fact, if you want to include text in your presentation, choose or revise no more than five sentence from your paper.

Here’s a rough idea of how you can structure your argument in sentences, which must be aided by some kind of visuals. 

1. Problem or situation related to the topic

2-3. Evidence of the problem/situation

4. How you see the problem/situation being solved or evolving
