1. You will need to identify a skill, sport, talent, career aspiration, or hobby you started enjoying in your childhood.

2. Think about how you got started and for how long you practiced/perfected this skill, sport, talent, career aspiration, or hobby.

3. Identify two or three benefits of your skill, sport, talent, career aspiration, or hobby.

4. Go to the NVC library databases and search for a single article that supports your assertion that this skill, sport, talent, career aspiration, or hobby is beneficial. (CHOSE VIDEO GAMING – ATTACHED ARTICLE)

5. Use the sample Toulmin argument below to craft your own paragraph. Replace the cooking-specific words and quotes with your own words and with quotes from the article you found. a. You may follow the sample as closely as you like; for example, you might simply change a word or two in a sample sentence, or you can rewrite it to fit your own writing style.b. When citing your source, use the author’s last name, if it is given, or the name of the article if no author’s name is shown.
