The role Internet and computer technology might play

I posted a series of articles on Black Board concerning the role Internet and computer technology might play (or might not play) in enhancing the citizen voice in civic engagement, in governance, and in policy making. (You’ll find them in the content area “Internet Articles.”) Along with the the articles I have posted, and any other sources you might find on your own, discuss the concept of “Digital Democracy.” Is the Internet democratizing American politics? Do political Web sites and blogs mobilize inactive citizens and make the public sphere more inclusive? Can policy makers improve decision making by harnessing networks to public institutions? Conversely, will our reliance on technology for communication/information simply lead to the accentuation of a focus on the individual and to his/her compartmentalization.Below is a link to a list of web sites that are either platforms that support civic engagement activities, and/or are non-profits or agencies whose focus is the engagement of the citizen in governance. I have also added this list in the content area under the heading “Web Sites.” With the questions that I have outlined above, choose one of these sites to add to your analysis of the role of social media and the Internet, and speak to the effectiveness of your chosen site in community engagement in forming policy. This means simply how it functions, what’s the audience, and given the knowledge you’ve garnered, are there weaknesses in their approach? Strengths?Civic Engagement Web Sites(1).docxThere’s a lot to consider, Don’t feel you have to write an essay. With your readings as a guide, simply share some of your own ideas, interpretations, and ideas.use these instruction and write to or three pages , see the attachment there some sites use some of themAttachments:in_our_study_regarding_local_government_services_through_the_lens_of_city_management
