Description
Assignment 4 This final assignment gives you the opportunity to return to one of the papers you have written earlier in the semester and to thoroughly revise that paper. Because one of the goals of the assignment is to encourage significant revision, you should not necessarily choose to work on the paper for which you received the best grade or which you think is already most complete. Instead, you should work on a paper that has potential to be dramatically improved through careful revision. As you decide which paper to revise, and as you continue to work on the paper, you should go back and reread your papers. You should consult the original assignments along with your Instructor’s comments on your final drafts.
Once you have made a decision, you should reread the essay and rewatch the movie you wrote about. You will likely see new ideas this time around. By revision, we mean “re-visioning” or “re-seeing” the paper. That is, just adding a few sentences or new examples here or there is not sufficient. Rather, you should be prepared to refine the overall focus of the paper, to reorganize its parts, to remove sections that now no longer fit, and to add new sections, new examples, and new conclusions.
