GTU Recommending the Implementation of A Loyalty Rewards System Memorandum

Question Description

I’m working on a marketing writing question and need a reference to help me study.

For this assignment, you will need to write a memo addressed to Tina Reynolds. Address both Case Discussion Questions: (a) Should Cabo San Viejo adopt a rewards program? and (b) assuming they do, how should the rewards program be structured? Divide your efforts about equally between these two questions. Explain your recommendations and why they are correct. See the Case Discussion Questions for things you should consider in your analysis. In terms of learning outcomes, this case memo should give you practice in thinking through the meaning of customer loyalty and how a firm may best cultivate it.

Please read the Note on Writing Business Memos (Links to an external site.) guideline before you begin. Here are some additional notes:

  • Your memo should be no more than two pages of single-spaced text (a 12-point font is a good size) with spaces between paragraphs. You may also include no more than three pages of exhibits.
  • While we may reflect on loyalty outside the case on the discussion boards, for your memo stick strictly to the case—including Exhibit 9—no outside research, no personal reflections on spas or loyalty programs.
  • Do not use exhibits to insert additional text into your memo. For this case, one of your exhibits should include the required calculations under Notes and Tips in the Discussion Questions.
  • Do not simply copy or retype whole case exhibits into your memo; you may assume that the instructor and I have the case. Rather, use exhibits to highlight the data and analyses that you believe are most critical to your recommendations. For example, a case exhibit might have 100 numbers in it. Which ten are the important ones? Can you summarize the 100 in a way that makes it easy for the reader to see your point?
  • Don’t hesitate to use approaches discussed in class or in the readings.
  • Proofread the memo. Spell-check misses things. (If your memo looks hasty and sloppy, the reader may think your ideas are, too!)
