Your answers should be based on the assigned primary and secondary sources contained in the coursepack, but you may also wish to consult your class notes.  It is necessary to cite your sources, whether you are paraphrasing or quoting directly from the assigned materials.  Don’t forget to include some direct quotations to illustrate your ideas.

Each answer should be approximately four to five typed, double-spaced pages or the equivalent in legible, handwritten work.  Please remember to keep a copy of your work.
