Read, study, and analyze Chapter 16 of the textbook, “Collective Behavior, Social Movements, and Social Change,” and review the MindTap resources and the PowerPoint presentation of the chapter. Afterwards, write a short, one-page paper answering the following questions. The answer to each question should be about one paragraph (5-7 sentences) in length and double-spaced.
Using your favorite search engine, research a recent social movement. In your own words, briefly describe this movement.

Here are some movements to get your started: Black Lives Matter Movement, Green Movement, Pro-Life Movement, and Gay Marriage Movement.

According to Smelser’s value-added theory, six conditions must be present for the development of a social movement. Briefly explain each of these six conditions at it relates to this social movement.
