When you get an idea from someone else (which most of us do) you want to be sure to give credit for that idea by citing them in the text. And don’t just simply copy or slightly modify their words – put it in your own words. If you fail to do so; if you plagiarize, you risk getting an F on that exam. Consult Dr. Rogers or someone at the writing lab if you have a question about this.
