Willow

Write chapters 6 – 10 using the Freytag’s pyramid. You should be leading up to the climax, falling action and resolution. Each chapter should be 200 – 400 words. . I’m going to attach the story that you are going to use. Expand the highlighted parts and add some dialogue between the characters
1. Climax: The story reaches the point of greatest tension between the protagonist and antagonist (or if there is only one main character, the darkness or lightness of that character appears to take control).
2. Falling Action: The story shifts to action that happens as a result of the climax, which can also contain a reversal (when the character shows how they are changed by events of the climax).
3. Resolution: The character solves the problem or conflict.
4. Denouement: French for “the ending,” the denouement is often happy if it’s a comedy, and dark and sad if it’s a tragedy.

Willow

Chapter 1: Exposition

Once upon a time, in a little village named Gracey Peaks, there was an old lady called Willow. Willow was the wisest person of the entire village. Since she was a little girl Willow always felt connected with nature; she loved to go to the forest and collect berries for her and her mom. She always loved going to the forest each morning and evening to collect the berries. She was never scared to visit the forest alone since she grew up alone with her mother and always visited the river to fetch water alone. She grew up as a brave young girl who always looked for what she wanted without fear. She never had any friends to play with in the village; hence, she spent her free time either at home or going to the forest to collect berries. After collecting the berries, she always ate them with her mum, who always told her some sweet stories about her past.

Chapter 2: Inciting Incident

One day Willow was in the forest, and suddenly she sees a different berry, one that she had never seen before, it was glowy, small and beautiful. She remembered the Bible story of Adam and Eve. She thought about how Adam and Eve were warned not to eat from the tree of knowledge and wisdom. The tree symbolized the beginning of a mixture of evil and good. She thought for some time about what to do since the berry looked so different. She yearned to eat it since she has never eaten such a beautiful berry. She also thought of taking the berry home for her to eat with her mother. After a while she decided to eat the berry, and something magical starts to happen, the leaves of the trees began to spin over her, she started to turn green and leaves began to grow in her body and before she knows it, she converts into the most beautiful tree of all the forest.

Chapter 3: Rising Action 1

A few days later, the mayor decided to expand the city, and they try to start with the deforestation in the forest that surrounded Gracey Peaks, but Willow, who is now a tree joint forces with the animals of the forest and the people from the village to stop this and keep the forest as it is. Willow wanted to stay in the forest to grow and produce more berries. She wanted to fill the forest and make it a natural park for people to visit and get to know the village and test the fruit. She wanted to be the source of income for the village and help her people economically.

Chapter 4: Rising Action 2

Willow and the people from the village manage to stop the mayor from expanding the city. The mayor understood that the forest is vital, and the city does not need to expand towards the forest. The mayor decides to change the city’s location and allows Willow and the animals to continue living in a quiet environment undisturbed. Willow began bearing fruit, and any individual who eats the fruit becomes a beautiful tree just like her. The forest becomes filled with beautiful trees that have attracted several individuals to visit the forest to eat the berries. Most of the villagers avoid glowing berries because they look different from the other berries. They observe the uniqueness of the attractive berries and warn any individual who may want to eat the berries may face serious side effects. Most of the villagers visit daily to observe the attractive berries and find out why the berries are different from the others.

Chapter 5: Rising Action 3

The daily visit of the villagers begins to motivate some of them to eat the glowing berries. The villagers wanted to have a taste of the berries and identify the difference between them. They wanted to understand why the berries were glowing differently from others even though they were in the same forest and the same climatic conditions. They wanted to know why the glowing berries were not as many as the usual berries found in the other trees, so they started to try this peculiar berry.

Chapter 6: Climax 1

A good number of the villagers also begin growing leaves and turn to trees. This phenomenon scares the whole village because they fear that they will all turn to trees. The mayor calls an emergency meeting to address the issue where several individuals are turning to trees and becoming part of the forest. The mayor fears that he will lose a lot of workforce, which will lead to the village being deserted and the forest expanding.

Chapter 7: Climax 2

Chapter 8: Falling Action

The villagers decide to go to the deepest part of the forest to visit the oldest tree to pray for the individuals who ate the glowing berries to convert back to human beings.

Chapter 9: Resolution

After a while of multiple prayers, suddenly the miracle happens. Willow and thirty of the villagers change back to human beings.

Chapter 10: Denouement

There is a huge celebration in the village where several cows are slaughtered, and a celebration party held to celebrate the rejoining of their members back in the community.
