This is a Film Review Essay!! You will write a two-to-three-page movie review of Aquaman 2018 film. It should be a newer release to fit into “contemporary cinema”. The main purpose of a movie review is to evaluate a film – not just to summarize

Use original ideas

Present a solid introduction to your review stating the name of the film and year of release.
Describe your decision-making process
Discuss your personal response to the film — what struck a chord in you — why such a response
Keep plot summary to a minimum (just enough to help a reader who has not seen the film can understand your comments.) and do not spoil the ending for the reader. How original & compelling is the plot
Technique — what are the film’s technical strengths & weaknesses (music, dialogue, camera work etc?)
What are the main issues of the film — is there a message or theme? Is it well done or not?
Since it is your opinion, it is okay to use “I”, but not too much
Mention some of the negative things as well as positive things
What films would the reader know the director, actors, screenwriter etc. from — is this work similar?
Make sure your reader knows what you feel about the film, and whether it is worth the time & money
