write an essay in your own words that addresses all of the following questions. Your essay must be a minimum of 400 words (200 or more words for each of three ideas selected).

1. Identify one specific idea from each of the two readings for Lesson 6 that is a new or especially interesting idea to you. (You will identify a total of two ideas and answer the following questions about each of them.)
2. Identify the idea and explain why this is an interesting or new idea. Is it something you haven’t thought about before? Does it support or contradict your previous beliefs? Does it connect with a personal or professional experience you have had? Include a citation, including article name and page number on which you found each idea.
3. Explain why this is an important idea for a counselor to think about. How might a counselor behave differently as a result of understanding this idea?
4. Give a specific example of a counseling situation in which this idea might be helpful to you.

Remember that this essay must identify two ideas – one from each required reading for this lesson – and must include a citation from each article showing where you found the information about each concept.
