Begin by opening the OpenGLSample solution (SLN) file in Visual Studio. Note that you should already have this configured to run correctly if you went through the setup activity. The OpenGLSample SLN file uses all of the libraries you will need throughout this course, so by running its code you will be able to confirm that everything functions as anticipated.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

• Change the name of the OpenGL window. Once you have opened the OpenGLSample SLN file, inspect the code. Search for the line including “// glfw window creation,” which is also shown below. From here, change the current title of the window, which reads “LearnOpenGL.” Within those quotes, insert your name instead.

• Run the OpenGLSample. The correctly running code should portray a number of boxes and light sources that you can maneuver around on the screen. While it is running, check the title of the window to ensure it displays your name. Take a screenshot that includes the window’s updated title.

• Discuss any challenges you experienced while setting up OpenGL. In one to two paragraphs, discuss any challenges you had to overcome while setting up OpenGL and the steps you may have taken to overcome them. If you still have questions or were unable to run any part of the sample code, be sure to reference these so your instructor can provide assistance.

Guidelines for Submission

Submit a one-page Microsoft Word document, including a screenshot of your window running the OpenGLSample SLN file and your discussion of challenges. Make sure the window’s updated title is visible in the image.
