Select your favorite music. It could be a song (or songs), a musical, opera, classical work, jazz anything as long as it is something special for you. That is the important thing. I want you to write about music you love. Try to share your feelings about it and evoke those same feelings within me.

Please begin the paper by identifying the title (or titles) and the artist. Write about why you love this music. That may also mean that someone you love introduced you to it. Please tell me how that happened. Write about anything that inspired your feelings for the music. You may also include the history* of the song or the artist if that is important to you (*please cite any sources of reference you use).

Please identify musical elements (melody, rhythm, repetition, lyrics, tone or quality of the voice, instruments, etc) that makes the music special. I am hoping you can share with me the musical elements that make it musically beautiful.
