Financial issues in sports: how covid has modified training and mood in professional and non professional players

There are various amounts of sports and training that have changed, from this deadly virus. Covid has impacted millions of families and lives. Starting in 2020 and still ongoing this virus has not only put a pause on people’s lives, but majorly on people who train and play a sport, professional or non-professional. Sports training clubs, football organizations, and even high school has taken a major turn on how they operate; the reason for the circumstance is when COVID first started, the U.S began to plan a shutdown. This shutdown affected universities, schools, sport facilities, gyms, etc. It also led to a collapse of revenue for schools, estimated by an analysis writer for ESPN that 65 power 5 schools would collectively lose 1.2 billion dollars in ticket revenue in the 2020 season. Oregon’s Athletic director Scott Barnes said, “”Anywhere from 75 up to almost 85% of all revenues to our departments are derived directly or indirectly from football.”
