For our final essay of the term, you will be reading an article that discusses zoonotic diseases and how human activities have increased the spread of these diseases. While reading this article (it is a little longer than the others), think about how humans interact with wildlife, how humans affect habitat and the environment, and the rise of zoonotic diseases. The link to the article from The New York Times Magazine, June 21, 2020 is listed below.

Your paper will be typed and double-spaced; the length will be 800 to 1200 words, not including the title or reference page. Please choose a font that is easy to read. The essay will be submitted to D2L assignments by Monday, December 7th by 11:30 pm. Please submit your essay in Word or pdf format. Remember, the essay will have a plagiarism check. Direct quotes from your article or other sources should not exceed 10% of the essay. It is recommended that you use one to two additional references to support your response. Your essay will be graded on the provided rubric.
