Task Description –

For this task you need to write a 2000 word case study on an area of your choice. In your case study, you must: 1.Identify a country or area that you are interested in 2.Identify and discuss one or two key social determinants of health that are a priority for women of that area 3.Apply knowledge of the SDoH to identify priority issues for a specific population of women 4.In relation to the key health issue(s) and SDoH for that population: a.Explore how primary health care is addressed in that area b.Critique health strategies that have been used to enhance women’s health and discuss how these strategies have impacted women’s health across the lifespanThis task aligns with the following Course Learning Outcomes: Learning Outcome 1: Apply knowledge of social determinants of health to identify priority issues for specific populations of women.Learning Outcome 2: Explore the factors across the lifespan that impact women’s healthLearning Outcome 4: Critique previous and current primary health care strategies used to enhance international women’s health and their impact on women’s morbidity and mortalityThis task aligns with, and helps you to develop, the following Graduate Attributes: 1.Knowledgeable and skilled, with critical judgement 2.Socially responsible and engaged in their communities 3.Effective in culturally diverse and international environments This task will help you to develop the following ‘Employability’ skills: Problem solving, self-management, initiative, communication, application of knowledge to a realworld situation.
